Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Fall 2025 placement with a start date of September 2025 and end-date of December 2025.
In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of December 2025; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in September/December 2025), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?
RBC’s Value Office group is seeking a highly motivated and talented student for a four-month term. The department consists of Program Managers, Project Managers and Business Analysts; a group of diverse and skilled professionals who play an integral role in the execution of projects and initiatives enterprise wide. Our vision is to empower a best-in-class team by strengthening organizational PM capabilities and constantly evolving Program Management and Business Analysis methodologies. With our Client First focus it is crucial that our candidates embody an agile mindset, to align and easily adapt to RBC’s ever changing business needs. Successful candidates will be continuously challenged to plan, execute, and deliver. This role will be mentored by our current Project Managers and allow you to gain hands-on project management experience.
What will you do?
- Lead and oversee all activities throughout the term of the project
- Developing and defining project deliverables
- Building a project schedule, implementation plan, assessing business requirements, and conducting project reviews
- Identifying and resolving project issues and risks
- Determine when and how to escalate issues accordingly
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Sponsors, Senior Business Leads, third party vendors, and other core members to meet project deliverables
- Provide ongoing support - generating alternative solutions to the initially proposed recommendation when issues arise
- Opportunity to participate in an innovation program to further develop design thinking, problem validation and presentation skills.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- An understanding of Business Development and Project Management, encompassing both excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Displays strong attention to detail and competencies in relationship management, collaboration and time management.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment both in a team and independently, able to adapt to dynamic situations, and can impact and influence outcomes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in order to provide clear and concise project documentation, reports and project updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Oriented towards planning and goal setting throughout their term at RBC, views tasks through a risk management lens, and proactively develops contingency plans

- Able to adapt to dynamic situations and can impact and influence outcomes
Nice-to-have
- Experience leading projects and initiatives, concerned with the status and priority of all of them concurrently.
- A basic understanding of how to organize project deliverables, create timelines, and manage the project from beginning to end towards a successful outcome
