About this team:

As an Account Director, you will develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with clients in the region, acting as their primary point of contact. The Account Director will report to the Senior Director of Sales, Canada, and will be responsible for independently managing a client portfolio of agencies and advertisers.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with agency or direct clients, acting as their primary point of contact

  • Develop an excellent understanding of each customer’s business, technical set-up, and needs in order to create an end-to-end strategy to unlock new opportunities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to our clients, sharing industry trends, advancements, relevant insights, and best practices

  • Proactively monitor client performance data across an omnichannel portfolio to provide clients with recommendations and help them achieve their revenue goals

  • Drive formal RFP responses for your client prospects

  • Lead strategic quarterly business reviews and implement work plans

  • Troubleshoot supply and deals monetization independently and with cross-functional teams, including operations, to resolve technical issues in a timely manner

  • Understand new publisher inventory options & product offerings to educate/consult digital advertising agency buyers

  • Work to secure, conduct and win client prospect meetings and manage them from initiation to close deals

  • Participate in industry events and conferences to represent Magnite and promote our products and services

  • Performs other sales-related duties as assigned by management 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 4 - 6 years experience in either an account management or sales role at a publisher/network/ DSP or 4 - 6 years experience at an agency

  • Fluent in English required

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience

  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian digital landscape and relationships

  • Ability to manage every step of the sales process, including prospecting, conducting sales calls, proposal writing, negotiating, and closing sales

  • Strong active listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations and lead strategic initiatives with key stakeholders up to Director levels

  • Strong experience with tools such as Excel, Google Suite, Salesforce, and analytics platforms (Tableau preferred)

  • A proven track record of driving revenue growth in managing multiple clients

  • Organize and participate in client entertainment, social programs, and industry events to build and maintain relationships.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex products, services, and deal structures 

  • Ability to travel 1 week per quarter or as needed
