We're looking for a motivated and skilled Intermediate Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, with a focus on automation, reliability, and security. You'll play a key role in supporting our cloud environment, implementing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities 

  •  You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring, and maintenance of our cloud resources, primarily on Azure. This includes virtual machines, storage, networking, and security groups, and other Azure services and technologies 

  • You will be involved in the deployment, scaling, and maintenance of our applications on the cloud. This includes working with development teams to ensure smooth and efficient releases. 

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Use tools like Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources in a repeatable and scalable manner. 

  • Develop and Maintain Automation. Create and maintain scripts and automation tools (Python, Bash, and PowerShell) to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency. 

  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to address critical alerts and incidents. You'll be responsible for the initial triage, investigation, and resolution of issues to minimize downtime and business impact. 

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud services, performance, and security. 

  • Ensure Security and Compliance. Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and compliance with industry standards. 

  • Collaborate and Document infrastructure designs, configurations, operational procedures, runbook and other required activities. Work closely with development, quality assurance, and other teams. Maintain clear and concise documentation of our cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.  

 

Required Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer, SRE, Software Developer, DevOps Engineer, or a similar role. 

  • 5+ years proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Preferable Azure cloud platform. 

  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Terraform. 

  • 5+ years proven coding experience in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). Python is preferable 

  • Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server administration. 

  • Solid understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls). 
     

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.  

  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and root cause analysis.  

  • Take initiative, are eager to learn new technologies, and continuously seek ways to improve processes and systems through code and automation.  

  • Work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment, communicate clearly, and are open to feedback.  

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and are comfortable with ambiguity.  

  • Have a keen eye for detail and are committed to producing high quality, robust solutions.  

Understanding the needs of internal development teams and strive to provide excellent platform services.
​Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. 

  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. 

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure monitoring. 

  • Cloud-specific certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
