Our L1 Software Development team sits within Ericsson's PEU RAN Performance. We design and implement Physical Layer Baseband functions; the foundational signal-processing engine that makes 5G work. We are responsible for implementing L1 across a wide spectrum of solutions, deployment scenarios, and frequencies specified in 3GPP standards. Our particular emphasis is on developing Physical Layer features tailored for COTS HW and cloud environments.

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is

Bachelors: $81,700 CAD
Masters: $90,300 CAD
Hiring Bonus:
Bachelors: $8,500 CAD
Masters: $11,500 CAD
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan (select if STV): Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of 3 medical and dental plan options that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Core level coverage is paid for fully by Ericsson.
Your Financial Security

Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee's contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee's contribution (maximum of 4% match). - Collaborating with senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain software components critical to our 5G and 6G products.
- Contributing to the Participating in the enhancement of existing features and the development of new ones, with a focus on optimizing scalability, performance and reliability by taking full advantage of the evolving architectural and services inherent to a Cloud Native Platform.
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and other activities to uphold software quality standards.
- Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving software issues to maintain seamless product operation.
- Exploring cloud-native platforms and learning how to optimize software for cloud and COTS hardware environments.
- Applying AI/ML tools and techniques to accelerate development, improve performance, and explore intelligent automation opportunities.
