🚀 About Compa

Compa is a venture-backed SaaS startup revolutionizing the future of compensation.

In a dynamic job market with hiring challenges, accountability, and the rise of AI, companies need the best data to stay ahead of industry changes, competition, and costs. Compa has developed the premier real-time compensation data platform, delivering top-tier compensation intelligence to leading enterprise teams.

Compa is a compensation intelligence company built to augment enterprise compensation teams in the era of AI.

Our customers include the world’s biggest companies: Apple, NVIDIA, Tesla, Mastercard, T-Mobile, Sanofi, Moderna, Gilead Sciences, and more.

Compensation Analyst

Compa is seeking a Compensation Analyst to own the technical onboarding of customer compensation data into our products and advance our position as the leader in compensation market intelligence. This person will provide exceptional, data-focused customer service and will report to Compa’s Director of Data Trust.

Why this role matters

The world’s best technology companies purchased Compa in 2024 and 2025, creating a massive opportunity to shift how compensation teams think about market data.

Dozens of customers, thousands of offers, and loads of savvy comp executives require your expertise.

Comp teams believe in Compa’s mission, values, and product, but they represent the brightest (and at times most skeptical) minds in the industry. We need your help serving them.

Success depends on your ability to balance execution and strategy while taking ownership, leading with data, and mastering collaboration.

How you will succeed

Own the Discovery & Validation of Customer Data

You will partner with customers to capture and align their compensation data within our global compensation data model and systems.  Customers and teammates gain clarity from your interactions and output.  Because of you, we build trust, feel lighter, more capable, and more confident.

With your expertise, you will work with the team to:

  • Collect and configure compensation data during data integrations, accelerating customer time to value and developing internal tools for increased data accuracy and scale.

  • Find new ways to analyze and validate compensation data while adapting what we’ve already learned.

  • Drive exceptional job matching and comp data interpretation and advance our AI-driven technical solutions alongside Compa’s engineering team.

Through your ingenuity and effort, you uncover data tooling enhancements, initiate process improvements and drive overall data quality in our products. You communicate these findings with consistency and brevity, advancing Compa’s position while building trust with customers, partners and your product team.

What you bring to Compa

  • Compensation domain knowledge is non-negotiable - this role requires at least two years in a Compensation role.

    • All candidates are interviewed by our team of Comp experts where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of Compensation fundamentals.

    • Your knack for understanding compensation systems, data elements and databases means you excel at finding and interpreting customer information.

    • Your domain expertise means you can explain compensation data elements to customers at all levels, including teams writing reports to support integrations from systems like Workday, SuccessFactors and others.

    • Your knowledge of job architecture supports customers providing job matches into Compa’s world.

  • A proven track-record of taking customer action, extra points for Compensation Consulting experience.

    • Your analytical ability, organization and transparency make customers, engineering, sales, and product smarter while maintaining the speed required for explosive growth.

  • Your tech savvy and proactive approach means you find your way into our tools and platforms (Notion, Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace and internal tooling) to communicate asynchronously.

    • Your technical acumen enables you to talk systems and integrations with customers, solutions engineers and product teams.

    • Your curiosity for AI drives you to innovate and advance our technical solutions.

    • Your high bar for excellence means you innovate as you go, relentlessly eliminating inefficiencies in our workflows so we can ship faster and with ease.

  • Spreadsheet expertise is a must (Excel, Sheets) - there will be a quiz to test your skills!

What results we expect

Integrations Go Live

Onboard customers with ease and grace, with the highest attention and a critical eye towards data quality. Volume keeps increasing and we need to match it with a faster time to value.

  • You maintain quality customer experiences while pacing the flood of customers joining this quarter and beyond.

  • You create ways to measure your improvements and show us how we can help you go even further.

  • NPS scores increase while you create new tools and processes.

Data product refines and scales

Your “product” at Compa is data, and the world’s technology companies are counting on you to grow its value. From integrations to design, to foundational technology, your fingerprints show up in obvious and nuanced ways.

  • Your data investigations are consistent, tangible, and exhaustive.

  • Your data enhancements land us new geographies, new industries, new partners, and more satisfied customers.

  • Your commitment to each fuels our growth through our next fundraise and beyond.

Brand and footprint expands

To date, Compa has punched above its weight, commanding a position as a thoughtful leader in the enterprise tech compensation space. You expand this position:

  • More comp execs love us

  • More competitors find us

  • More customers join us

Pay transparency at Compa

Compa is a venture-backed technology company. As such, we have designed our compensation strategy with the purpose of providing you sufficient cash compensation to maintain a comfortable lifestyle, excellent benefits for peace of mind, and strong upside potential in the form of stock options.

Compensation at Compa:

  • Base salary range: $90,000-$130,000

  • Stock options range: 0.01%-0.02%

  • Outstanding health, dental, and vision benefits

  • Access to WeWork, Headspace, Duolingo, DoorDash, and Spotify

Compa is an early-stage startup! Do we pay the same as Airbnb or Netflix? No! Are we trying to? No! The value proposition of joining an early startup is fundamentally different, focused on (a) high-risk/high-reward long-term upside and (b) profoundly career-transforming personal growth.

This range of pay reflects multiple levels; your offer within this range primarily depends on our team’s evaluation of your level, which we will communicate transparently with you.

Our team is fully remote and we hire talent across time zones from Oahu to Sao Paulo, with a preference for the United States and Canada.
