Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will play a key role in building and optimizing our corporate accounting function. This role requires a highly capable, hands-on leader who can operate independently, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will oversee financial reporting, audits, tax compliance, treasury, payroll, and intercompany transactions, while partnering with FP&A, data, engineering, and product teams to streamline processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial statements.
- Oversee financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, ensuring adherence to US GAAP.
- Manage audit and tax processes, serving as the key liaison with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Automate and optimize accounting workflows, working cross-functionally with data, engineering, and product teams to improve reporting and scalability.
- Oversee revenue recognition, customer receivable reconciliation, and other core accounting functions.
- Prepare technical accounting memos for complex accounting issues and support strategic transactions.
- Ensure treasury, payroll, T&E, vendor expenses, and intercompany transactions are efficiently managed.
- Collaborate with FP&A on budget monitoring and variance analysis to drive financial insights.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and internal controls to maintain audit readiness.
