What you will do:
- Support applied AI/ML projects within radio product development under the guidance of senior team members
- Assist in exploring and prototyping AI solutions to improve product performance and team productivity
- Contribute to Innovation Garage or exploratory AI projects using a "learn-by-doing" approach
- Collaborate with engineers across systems, software, and hardware teams to understand real product challenges
- Help analyze data, evaluate models, and communicate findings clearly to technical stakeholders
- Participate in building internal AI knowledge through documentation, demos, and presentations
- Learn about Ericsson's global AI frameworks, tools, and best practices
The skills you bring:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical/Telecom Engineering, Applied AI/ML, or a related field
- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, or Master's on a full-time basis at a 4-year college or university at the time of the internship
- Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer or Co-Op term
- Strong interest in AI/ML with coursework or project experience in areas such as machine learning, statistics, or data analysis
- Familiarity with Python and basic ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
- Experience with data analysis tools (NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, etc.)
- Exposure to Git and basic software development practices
- Curiosity about telecom systems (e.g., 4G/5G, networks, or signal processing) is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to learn, experiment, and ask thoughtful questions
- Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams
