SUMMARY:

The Digital Product Manager II provides consultation and assistance to various business units with the research, ideation, business requirements, development of a business case, and interfacing with team members throughout the organization. Responsible for the general ownership of multiple products, relationships, provides strategic input, and supports the success of their areas of expertise. Works closely with business and technology partners in the bank as well as 3rd party vendors to identify and maximize opportunities to use to improve products, services, and/or business processes. Coordinates efforts through the bank's Digital Delivery team to execute functional enhancements and new capabilities in a timely and budgeted fashion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Gather, review, analyze, validate, evaluate and map business processes and end-user requirements.
  • Work with various business users to review, analyze and evaluate business systems and make recommendations for improvements and changes.
  • Work closely with development and QA teams to deliver technical enhancements and capabilities.
  • Follow appropriate standards and requirement gathering.
  • Serve as product owner to formulate proposals for new systems or improved features/functionality in existing digital banking systems.
  • Assist with tests or test planning sessions, provides input for feasibility, and assist in the preparation of user documentation and follow-up evaluation.
  • Act as a liaison with subsidiary management and staff to resolve issues as needed.
  • Assist in enhancing, maintaining, and enacting the Digital Delivery Governance.
  • Understand, negotiate, and effectively manage the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
  • Perform project management functions as a project manager or team member.
  • Take the initiative and produce timely results in fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environments.
  • Participate (and lead if applicable) in the day-to-day Digital Delivery ceremonies (stand-ups, business planning, epic planning, backlog grooming, and solutioning meetings)
  • Support the Digital Delivery Manager in reporting on the progress and delivery of digital enhancements and capabilities.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in relevant digital program, portfolio, or product management.
  • Industry certification in Digital or Product Management is required (e.g. Agile Certified Product Manager and Product Owner, or similar)

OTHER SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires extensive analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to elicit, gather, and analyze feedback data.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to function in a consultative role and manage a team or project.
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with management, staff, 3rd party consultants, and direct clients.
  • Must be able to meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
  • Experience with Agile or iterative development models.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, directors, managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
