About the job:

As Zenity’s first in-house Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s commercial and operational growth. You’ll help draft, review, and negotiate contracts, support employment and vendor matters, and assist with IP and privacy compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving startup at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, helping establish efficient, scalable legal processes that enable the business to move quickly and safely.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and assist in negotiating commercial agreements, including SaaS contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
  • Support all teams in day-to-day legal matters.
  • Assist with employment-related documentation and coordination with external counsel when needed.
  • Help ensure compliance with privacy and data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Contribute to legal templates, playbooks, and process improvements to streamline legal workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support business operations, deals, and risk management.

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience, including experience in technology or cybersecurity companies (in-house or through client work).
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts and SaaS business models.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, IP, and employment law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Pragmatic, business-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, global startup environment.
