What You Will Do
- Participate in annual business plan review including:
- Capital equipment planning
- Sales forecasting and revenue targets
- Net income targets and expense controls
- On-time delivery (OTD) performance
- Non-conformance reduction initiatives
- Performance management reviews and salary adjustments
- Operations Leadership
- Oversee execution, risk management, material availability, customer communication, and change management.
- Direct the management team to ensure production, warehousing, and supply chain operations are aligned with business goals.
- Assist with strategies for layout, expansion planning, and continuous operational improvements.
- Lead ERP/MRP implementation and utilization to drive efficiency and visibility across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards while maintaining facilities and equipment reliability.
- Account Management & Customer Support
- Meet with potential new customers and support business development activities.
- Oversee preparation of accurate and timely quotes.
- Manage inventory planning, MOQ excess, and build plan reviews.
- Communicate delivery commitments clearly and proactively.
- Supply Chain Management
- Gather raw material pricing information to produce costed bills of material for customer quotations.
- Actively review MRP outputs to anticipate raw material and component supply needs.
- Collaborate with suppliers to confirm product pricing, lead times, and performance.
- Purchase raw materials in line with the production schedule and budget requirements.
- Monitor and expedite purchase orders to ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Track and report supplier performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships internally and externally to drive optimal supply chain performance.
What You Will Need
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations and/or supply chain management.
- Proven expertise with ERP/MRP systems and strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office tools.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
- Demonstrated success in managing budgets, inventory, and supplier relationships.
- College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA or advanced certifications are an asset).
- Professional certifications such as APICS, PMAC, or equivalent Supply Chain/Operations qualifications preferred.
- Experience in prototype/NPI or low-volume manufacturing environments is considered an asset.
