Position Overview

Join Autodesk’s Growth Experience Technology (GET) finance team and help shape how we evaluate and manage investments in the technology that enables the COO organization and supports Go-to-Market functions across Autodesk.

In this highly visible role, you will partner with Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Product, and business leaders to guide software-capitalization decisions, strengthen investment forecasting, and improve financial transparency. Your work will help leaders understand technology spend, anticipate financial risks, and make informed decisions across a broad portfolio of growth-enabling platforms and capabilities.

This role combines financial ownership, cross-functional partnership, and process improvement. You will lead recurring planning and close activities while helping scale the financial processes and controls that support GET’s growing impact across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead forecasting, reporting, and amortization modeling for GET’s portfolio of capitalized software investments, providing clear visibility into spend, timing, and financial impact.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, Accounting, and Go-to-Market leaders across the COO organization to assess project scope, delivery timelines, capitalization eligibility, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to GET leadership by translating complex project and financial data into clear insights, recommendations, and investment considerations.
  • Own the financial processes and controls supporting software capitalization, including project assessments, cost validation, documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Lead key month-end and quarter-end activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and depreciation and amortization reviews, while proactively identifying and resolving risks.
  • Develop scalable financial models, dashboards, and reporting that improve transparency, forecast accuracy, and decision-making across the GET portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate reporting, strengthen controls, and scale finance support as GET’s technology portfolio evolves.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A, accounting, finance business partnership, or a related finance role
  • Experience with software capitalization, Internally Developed Software, capitalized labor, depreciation/amortization, project accounting, or comparable capitalized technology spend
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial controls
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with the ability to build repeatable reporting and translate analysis into actionable insights
  • Strong communication and partnership skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Product, Procurement, and business teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technology, software, SaaS, engineering, or product development environments
  • Knowledge of internal-use software capitalization concepts, software development life cycles, capitalization documentation, and amortization timing
  • Experience with ERP, planning, reporting, or visualization tools such as SAP, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Airtable, Power BI, or similar systems
  • Process improvement mindset, enable or support with AI, with experience standardizing reporting, strengthening controls, improving forecast accuracy, or scaling finance operations
