Perplexity is seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer to build an Enterprise AI Assistant that transforms the way teams work. In this role, you’ll translate cutting-edge AI advances into intuitive, engaging, and performant user-facing features.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to develop and ship enterprise-focused front-end features.
  • Build intuitive, high-performance user experiences tailored to enterprise customers.
  • Develop front-end solutions for multi-tenancy, admin controls, and enterprise analytics.
  • Collaborate on 0-1 initiatives that expand Perplexity’s enterprise capabilities at scale.
  • Advocate for front-end best practices, including accessibility, performance, and security.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of industry experience in software engineering with a strong focus on front-end development.
  • Deep expertise in building modern, responsive UIs with Next.js and TypeScript.
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-level SaaS products, ideally in AI, search, or knowledge management.
  • Understanding of authentication and security best practices for enterprise applications.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Solid quantitative understanding of data and experimentation to drive product decisions.
  • Passion for shipping high-quality, impactful products for enterprise customers.

Preferred

  • Experience integrating front-end applications with enterprise tools and APIs.
  • Familiarity with AI/RAG-powered applications.
  • Knowledge of large-scale search and retrieval systems.
  • Understanding of enterprise compliance, authentication, and security frameworks.

The cash compensation range for this role is $180,000 - $260,000.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above. 

Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity is part of the total compensation package.
