Group Product Manager to join our Foundation team on Lightspeed’s Financial Services team. In this role, you will own the product direction, strategy, and implementation for a key area of Payments and Capital products. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to define priorities and shape your roadmap as well as lead and mentor a high-performing product management team and cultivate an inclusive, inspiring working culture.

Our goal is to enhance the merchant experience by providing a seamless, data-driven financial ecosystem that enables faster onboarding, risk management, and real-time insights. Built on a Lightspeed-wide platform, we empower businesses to acquire, verify, and act upon merchant data with a comprehensive 360° view.

Strategic Focus Areas

  • Merchant 360 – Centralizing all financial services data into a single, unified merchant view.
  • Single Onboarding – Streamlining the process with one integrated onboarding flow for Payments & Capital.
  • Account Management – Enabling self-serve tools for merchants to manage their accounts effortlessly.
  • Risk Systems – Establishing a robust fraud prevention framework, including V1 Rules, ML-driven infrastructure, actions, and case management.
  • Transaction Data – Delivering same-day transaction and cost insights, providing merchants with real-time financial visibility.

This role presents a unique opportunity to take our Financial Services platform to the next level, reducing fragmentation and creating a seamless merchant experience across onboarding, risk, account management, and transactions.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Product Strategy Development: Define and execute the product strategy for a key area of Foundation’s three year vision.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, integration partnerships, and go to market teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of the critical Foundation features
  • Roadmap Management: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with business goals and customer needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance metrics to ensure the product meets business objectives and delivers value to our integrators and our courses.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update stakeholders on product progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Guiding, motivating and growing a team of product managers as they manager components of the overall Foundation’s charter. 
  • People management: Guiding, motivating and growing a team of product managers as they solve complex problems in the foundation domain

What you need to bring: 

Successful candidates must have a proven product management track record in SaaS products at scale.

  • 5-8 years of experience in product management ideally within ecommerce and/or SaSS products. 
  • A leader with strong people skills who can manage and represent your team
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading cross-functional teams, driving product vision, and executing product roadmaps in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to a diverse audience, including senior leadership, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A deep passion for enhancing user experiences through technology, with a customer-centric approach to solving problems and delivering value.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to forge strong relationships across the organization, influence without authority, and lead teams toward shared goals and successful outcomes.
  • Expertise in product management and Agile/Scrum product development life cycles, as well as building and delivering high-quality software on time
  • A solid understanding of setting, measuring, and improving product success metrics
  • Familiarity working in parallel with multiple squads across different time-zones
  • Ability to lead client discovery, solutioning, and alignment conversations
  • Understanding of product strategy development and roadmapping tools

Even better if you have, but not necessary: 

  • Experience building platforms 
  • Understanding of the Payment and Capital industry 
  • POS (retail and hospitality) industry experience
