Location: Remote (BC preferred) Reports To: Senior UA Growth Manager / Marketing Lead

About Kano

Kano is a successful, founder-led game studio with a 15+ year track record in building free-to-play games with loyal communities. With two product lines — mobile idle games and long-running text-based social RPGs — and a fully remote team of 40, we're focused on sustainable growth, strong player engagement, and profitable user acquisition.

We're looking for a Growth Marketer to help drive new player acquisition across our portfolio. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their growth marketing career who wants to own real campaigns, learn fast, and grow their impact. You'll manage a meaningful ad budget from day one, run and optimize campaigns across major platforms, and work closely with our senior UA and LiveOps teams to scale our games profitably.

What You'll Do

Run and Optimize Paid Campaigns

  • Manage and optimize paid user acquisition campaigns across Meta Ads and Google UAC, with room to expand into Apple Search Ads, TikTok, Unity, AppLovin, and other networks.
  • Own day-to-day management of a $100K+ monthly ad budget, including daily optimizations, budget pacing, and bid adjustments.
  • Support retargeting and re-engagement campaigns to improve player LTV.
  • Help set up and manage creative tests across static, video, and playable ad formats.

Analyze and Report on Performance

  • Track and report on core UA metrics (ROAS, CAC, retention, LTV) to the team on a regular cadence.
  • Work with analysts and senior UA to interpret campaign performance and cohort data across platforms and geos.
  • Help build and maintain dashboards in AppsFlyer and internal BI tools to communicate results clearly.
  • Set up and analyze A/B tests across creatives, audiences, and geos.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Partner with the LiveOps marketing team to develop and iterate on ad creatives.
  • Align acquisition activity with game updates, events, and product launches.
  • Play our games and run light competitive analysis to spot emerging UA, monetization, and engagement tactics.

Support Organic Growth

  • Support ASO efforts including keyword testing, metadata updates, and screenshot/video asset alignment.
  • Help ensure paid and organic efforts complement each other to drive installs and conversion.
What You Bring
  • 1–3 years of digital marketing experience, ideally including paid social or app/mobile campaigns.
  • Hands-on experience managing campaigns on Meta Ads and/or Google UAC.
  • Comfort reading performance data and a genuine curiosity about what's driving results.
  • Strong attention to detail and an experimentation mindset — you like to test, learn, and iterate.
  • Clear communicator who thrives in a remote-first team.
  • Eagerness to learn the ins and outs of mobile free-to-play user acquisition.
Bonus Points
  • Experience with free-to-play, idle, sim, or LiveOps-heavy games.
  • Familiarity with MMPs (AppsFlyer, Singular, Adjust) or ASO tools.
  • Experience with creative testing and ad creative production.
  • Exposure to AI tools for creative or analysis.
  • Basic SQL or BI tool exposure (Looker, Tableau, Quicksight).
Why This Role Matters

At Kano, you won't be a small cog buying ads to a fixed playbook. You'll get real ownership of live campaigns and budget, direct mentorship from experienced UA leaders, and a clear path to grow into more senior growth marketing roles. If you're hungry to learn how to scale games profitably, this is a place to do it.

Salary

($60,000 – $80,000)

The listed pay range reflects the potential earnings for this role. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and alignment with company needs, typically falling toward the midpoint for most candidates.

Kano is a remote-first workplace with an in-person attendance requirement 2-6 times a year.

What we offer

  • Competitive wages determined by market research
  • Uncapped profit share program
  • Health, dental and vision benefits
  • 3 weeks vacation to start
  • Paid holiday shutdown in December
  • 12 paid Care Days per year
  • Yearly Continuous Improvement allowance
  • A results-driven company with a compassionate culture
  • Opportunity to work on game projects that are enjoyed by millions of players worldwide!
  • Ability to make a difference. Have an idea? Talk directly with leadership about it instead of running through layers of bureaucracy
