Your role & responsibilities:

As an IT Support Specialist at Xanadu, you’ll play a key role in providing high-quality, front-line technical support across the organization. You'll be involved in day-to-day troubleshooting, setting up new equipment, managing user access, and helping ensure smooth IT operations. 

  • Act as a first point of contact for IT support requests
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to deliver prompt and effective technical support to employees
  • Set up and configure new laptops and desktops (Windows, Mac, or Linux)
  • Perform routine tasks such as setting up monitors, keyboards, docking stations, and other peripherals
  • Assist with user onboarding and offboarding (account creation, hardware setup, etc.)
  • Support audio/visual setups for meetings and presentations
  • Maintain and update IT documentation for common tasks and procedures
  • Perform moves, adds and changes of software and hardware for all equipment
  • Administer and maintain user accounts and permissions
  • Install and assist with testing of new application releases, enhancement requests, and bug fixes
  • Help manage hardware inventory and perform routine audits
  • Monitor and respond to alerts or minor incidents, escalating as needed
  • Help with occasional weekend work or IT-related activities during off-hours, if required

Basic qualifications and experience:

  • Diploma and/or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 1-5 years of experience in a related IT position
  • Strong experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS
  • Familiarity with basic networking and cybersecurity concepts and best practices
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure/high-paced environment
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment
  • Willingness to be part of on-call rotation and weekend IT related activities

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Some knowledge of Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation and troubleshooting
  • Worked in a startup environment and understands the importance of wearing multiple hats
This is for a new position. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 70,000 - 90,000 CAD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
