We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our team based out of our Brampton office.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with customers by staying in constant communication to ensure day to day and long-term needs are met
- Act as the primary point of contact to the customer, with a specific focus on the assigned business unit and trade lane (where applicable)
- Manage, plan and coordinate logistic movements with existing customers
- Coordinate and confirm scheduled appointments with vendors and suppliers
- Maintain data and update information in the company's operating systems
- Customer retention engagement on assigned account portfolio
- Identify, manage and build new business relationship in the target market
- Partner with operations and capacity/product/supply teams to ensure optimal execution using SOPs, best in class business processes, and mutually agreed upon customer KPI’s
- Collaborate with team members to secure the terms of sale, including negotiating rates, identifying carriers, procuring specialized equipment, etc.
- Coordinate prospect, sales and current customer meetings working closely with VP of Sales/CS
- Participate in rate matrix reviews to ensure profitability and competitiveness for key accounts
- Participate in rate calculations, report preparation and customer presentations for all large-spend bids
- Review financial, volume and service performance reports and makes adjustments (pricing, process, etc.) that create efficiencies and drive continuous improvement
- Coordinate prospect, sales and current customer meetings working closely with VP of Sales/CS
- Proven track record with a strong focus on account management, setting appointments, customer service, presenting and meeting with customers, pricing, proposals through to 'closing the deal'.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- 2+ years of customer service and account management experience in transportation and logistics field is preferred.
- College or university degree in Marketing or Business-related field is required.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the sales planning process.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills & strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with proven closing ability.
- Ability to function independently with little or no supervision as well as function in a team environment.
