The Ericsson Radio Product Team is responsible for all aspects of development of the next generation radio products: systemization, design, integration, and verification of multi-standard radios. This position is for our Radio Product Systems and Integration Organization which works on radio systemization as well as integrating hardware and software designs to validate the performance and functionality of new radio products.
The candidate will enable the delivery of our radio product design by taking responsibility for managing the lab equipment of our development facility, lab operations, enforcing lab safety standards, supporting engineering teams with understanding lab needs and testing setup, managing lab inventory, maintaining equipment calibration, scheduling facility usage, and managing the budget.

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is
• Ottawa, ON: $85,000- $111,300
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

What will you do
- Oversee the daily operations of the RF lab facilities, ensuring compliance with health, safety and security regulations
- Partner with radio developers to understand the design teams' equipment needs, organizing workspaces and optimizing workflow efficiency
- Maintain the lab working environment to the standards
- Co-ordinate equipment calibration, repair and maintenance
- Manage resource and inventory through CAPEX and OPEX budgets, procurement of supplies, tracking asset inventory
- Advise the organization on lab strategies, including budgeting, procurement, lab layout improvement and more
The skills you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Electronics) or related field
- 3+ years of laboratory experience, preferably in fast-paced R&D settings, manufacturing or semiconductor environment
- Must have experience working in a high touch lab (familiarity with RF equipment, Radios, etc.)
- Proficiency with testing equipment e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, data analysis tools
- Energy and drive to thrive in a dynamic product development environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, including some team leadership experience
- Excellent English skills, both verbal and written, providing effective communication building positive relationships internally as well as externally
- A "hands-on" mentality
Other useful skills:
- Basic knowledge of wireless communication standards
- Understanding of RF engineering
- Ideally have some experience working directly with radio products
