Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
We're looking for world-class talent to help bring action-packed coverage of the Olympics and Paralympics to viewers across the country. From the cosmopolitan city of Milan to the storied Italian Alps, we will be at the forefront of capturing all the compelling competitions and stories of the world's biggest sporting event.
With a rich Olympic history, this will be the second time the Olympics are held in Cortina (1956 Winter Olympics) and the fourth time overall that Italy has hosted an Olympic Games (1960 Rome Olympics and 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin) - join us in delivering the unforgettable Olympic and Paralympic moments that inspire the world!
Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Immersion Program:
- Applications Close: Friday, May 30, 2025. Pro Tip: Submit your application as soon as possible - don't delay!
- Program Dates: Assignments will begin as early as January 26, 2026, and run through February 23, 2026. Most roles will last approximately 3 to 4 weeks, with the exact duration determined at the time of placement.
- Time Commitment: Anticipate a minimum of 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
NBC Olympics is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals to serve as Operations Runners for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan. This position is integral to the success of our broadcast operations and client experience. Runners will be assigned to various areas within the Operations Support team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide hands-on support for logistical and operational tasks across assigned departments
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks upon request
- Assist production teams with support needs as required
- Maintain professionalism in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Approach all tasks with flexibility, a can-do attitude, and a team-first mindset
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States. For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
- Must be willing to work in Milan, Italy.
- Must be able to work assigned hours, including evenings and weekends.
Desired Characteristics:
- Resourceful problem solver, with the ability to prioritize and create approaches to meet required objectives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask with a willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.
