Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
We're looking for world-class talent to help bring action-packed coverage of the Olympics and Paralympics to viewers across the country. From the cosmopolitan city of Milan to the storied Italian Alps, we will be at the forefront of capturing all the compelling competitions and stories of the world's biggest sporting event.
With a rich Olympic history, this will be the second time the Olympics are held in Cortina (1956 Winter Olympics) and the fourth time overall that Italy has hosted an Olympic Games (1960 Rome Olympics and 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin) - join us in delivering the unforgettable Olympic and Paralympic moments that inspire the world!
Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Internship Program:

- Program Dates: Assignments will last approximately 2 weeks from February 11, 2026 - February 24, 2026.
- Time Commitment: Anticipate a minimum of 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
NBC Olympics is looking for highly motivated individuals to assist with the on-site logistics for our client hospitality program at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan, Italy. Hospitality Guides will serve as the "face" of NBC as they will interact daily with NBC and Comcast executives, as well as top advertising clients and our partners. Our goal is to ensure that the guests have a wonderful time in Milan and a truly unforgettable Olympic experience.
The position will require a team player who is efficient, organized, well-groomed, and outgoing. Someone willing to give 100% to ensure the program runs smoothly. Candidates must have a great attitude along with a strong work ethic. Interns must speak fluent English, should have a passion for sports and the Olympic Games, be comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people, and be willing to work extremely long hours. Many of the duties will also include physical activity.
This will be a paid internship. Travel and accommodations are subject to credentialing approval for all Hospitality Guide interns.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Airport meet and greets
- Baggage handling including lifting, pushing, or pulling various items
- Transportation assistance and merchandise fulfilment
- Bus escorts to/from Olympic events and offered activities
- Directional support, guest services and event set-up
- Coordination of activity schedules/sign-ups and administrative support
- Guides are often viewed as members of the Corporate Events Team. We ask that guides be prepared to appropriately represent the team and NBCUniversal
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- In pursuit of an Associate or Bachelor's degree at an Accredited Institution and able to provide documentation to confirm degree progress.
- Must be enrolled in college at the time of the internship with current class standing of Sophomore or above (students who graduate prior to February 2026 will not be eligible for the program).
- Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States. For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
- Must be able to work on-site in Milan, Italy.
- Must be willing to work long assigned hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more with or without accommodations.
Desired Characteristics:
- Open to all majors - an interest in hospitality is welcomed.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Knowledge/interest in Olympic Sports.
- Previous internship experience or on-campus leadership.
- Must be adaptable (i.e. the schedule for the next day is shared the evening before and sometimes morning of.
- Proficiency in Italian; not required but strongly preferred.
