Position Summary:
UPS is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Part-Time Operations Admin Assistant to support warehouse operations at our Ottawa location. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying package labels, invoices, and packaging to ensure accuracy and compliance. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift heavy packages are essential.
Job Type: Part-Time - Permanent
Work Location: 2281 Stevenage Drive, Ottawa, ON K1G 3W1, Canada
Workdays: Monday through Friday
Shift Start: 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Shift averages 3-5 hours a day; start times/finish times may vary with operational needs. Flexibility is required.
Pay rate: $17.75/hr.
** APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK UP TO 25 HOURS PER WEEK**
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform quality checks on packages, including labels, packaging, and invoices
- Accurately enter and manage data related to shipments
- Track, trace, and scan packages to ensure proper processing
- Provide exceptional customer service and problem resolution
- Maintain accuracy in all documentation and reporting
- Lift and handle packages weighing up to 70 lbs unassisted
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Previous experience in data entry and customer service is preferred
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment and perform physical tasks
- Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve operational issues
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay rate of $17.75
