  • Spearhead the strategic growth of the GTA Transportation business, with a focus on highways, corridors, transit integration, and multimodal planning/design.

  • Strengthen and expand client relationships with MTO, Metrolinx, TTC, and Infrastructure Ontario—acting as a trusted advisor and primary relationship manager.

  • Ensure consistent technical excellence and project delivery on a portfolio of complex technical projects.

  • Lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and pursuit planning for major transportation opportunities across Ontario.

  • Monitor project performance, ensure quality, manage risks, and deliver results within scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Mentor, coach, and support staff development to build a resilient and agile team aligned with long-term business objectives.

Business Impact

  • Drives innovation in technical solutions and project execution while managing the technical accuracy and quality of deliverables.

  • Aligns project staffing and delivery models with evolving client expectations and strategic priorities.

  • Forecasts resource requirements and adjusts priorities to meet workload demands.

People Leadership

  • Leads a multi-disciplinary team with a focus on performance, growth, and succession planning.

  • Manages the recruitment, promotion, performance reviews, and development planning for direct reports.

  • Champions an inclusive and collaborative team culture that reflects our commitment to excellence and integrity.

Technical & Strategic Expertise

  • Mastery-level knowledge of transportation engineering, with particular expertise in highway design, corridor planning, and infrastructure integration.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects in Ontario, with working knowledge of MTO design standards and project delivery models.

  • Keeps abreast of technical developments and regulatory frameworks affecting transportation infrastructure across the province.

  • Supports and contributes to internal technical knowledge-sharing and best practices documentation.

Communication & Client Engagement

  • Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, client representatives, joint venture partners, and subconsultants.

  • Explains policies, project approaches, and technical recommendations clearly and persuasively.

  • Drives business development efforts and pursuit strategies, including proposal writing, presentations, and negotiation of contracts.

  • Cultivates long-term relationships with key transportation agencies and clients to expand scope and influence future infrastructure planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is preferred but not essential.

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in transportation engineering and infrastructure project delivery.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario is strongly preferred.

  • Deep knowledge of the Ontario market and extensive relationships with MTO, Metrolinx, TTC, and Infrastructure Ontario.
