Who you are:

At Geotab, we are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! We are seeking a Product Operations Manager – Customer & Market Insights who will be responsible for enabling our Product Management and Customer teams to deliver amazing products at scale by ensuring actionable customer and market insights inform every stage of the product lifecycle. If you love technology and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As a Product Operations Manager – Customer & Market Insights, you will champion Product Research by leading the strategy and execution for leveraging external insights across Geotab. Your focus will be on designing scalable systems for gathering, synthesizing, and making customer and market perspectives accessible to product planning and delivery teams. You will enable Product Management and Customer-facing teams to act on insights more effectively, driving improvements that align with both user needs and business priorities. You will also contribute to broader Product Operations initiatives—streamlining processes, supporting roadmap execution, and driving operational excellence across the product lifecycle. This includes facilitating cross-functional collaboration, optimizing tooling and feedback channels, and participating in internal product enablement activities.

To succeed in this role, you’ll be a strong communicator, a self-starter with analytical thinking, and a skilled collaborator. You’ll have the ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver programs from concept to execution, and influence decision-making through well-crafted insights.

How you'll make an impact:
  • Streamline processes for collecting, synthesizing, and disseminating customer and market insights.
  • Manage internal documentation for customer feedback, market research, and user research.
  • Collaborate with sales, support, design, and engineering to resolve feedback friction points.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of user research and market intelligence practices.
  • Establish systems for collecting, aggregating, and making customer and market evidence accessible.
  • Integrate customer feedback and market intelligence into product planning and development.
  • Define, track, and analyze key product metrics (NPS, North Star, user behavior) to inform customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Lead competitive analysis, market sizing, and industry trend research to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure customer and market insights are central to key product events and strategic planning.
  • Manage the product management tech stack, focusing on tools for insight collection, aggregation, analysis, and accessibility.
  • Develop and deliver training and playbooks on user research, market analysis, and leveraging customer and market insights.
  • Support and promote the use of product tools for deeper customer and market insights and trends.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • 3-5 years of required previous experience in any of the following areas: Product Management, Product Operations, UX Research, Research Ops, Design Strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience championing Product Research and Customer & Market Insights, specifically in: collecting, synthesizing, and enabling access to qualitative and quantitative customer feedback from diverse sources (e.g., user interviews, surveys, support tickets, sales win/loss analysis, customer reviews) for product teams.
  • Strong understanding and experience with market research techniques, including competitive analysis, market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM), and industry trend identification.
  • Proven ability to streamline user research processes, including managing participant databases and insights repositories to enhance research accessibility and reusability.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using tools like Google BigQuery, Superset, or other analytics platforms to turn raw data into actionable insights relevant to customer and market understanding.
  • Proven ability to work across strategy and execution, moving between high-level planning and detail-oriented tasks.
  • Familiarity with roadmapping or task management tools (e.g., Jira, Productboard, Aha!).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable facilitating discussions and presenting to cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to manage priorities, influence stakeholders, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to change in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Psychology or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience and confidence in facilitating, as well as presenting at meetings and presentations with large audiences (could even be a company wide town hall).
  • Experience and confidence in working with all levels of the business - from c-suite to individual contributor (IC) level. Not afraid to make suggestions, to articulate your point of contention, or roll out net-positive changes that might not please everyone, every time.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
