Overview
We
are recruiting for our client, the Department of National Defence, for
Programmer Analysts to work on software applications to support the operations
of the Department.
Overview/Requirement:
Following
is an overview of deliverables:
· select and incorporate
available software programs;
· design detailed programs, flow
charts, and diagrams indicating mathematical computation and
· sequence of machine operations
necessary to copy and process data and print the results;
· translate detailed flow charts
into coded machine instructions and confer with technical personnel in planning
programs;
· verify accuracy and
completeness of programs by preparing sample data, and testing them by means of
system acceptance test runs made by operating personnel;
· correct program errors by
revising instructions or altering the sequence of operations;
· test instructions, and assemble
specifications, flow charts, diagrams, layouts, programming and operating
instructions to document applications for later modification or reference;
· create and modify code and
software;
· create and modify screens and
reports;
· design methods and procedures
for small computer systems, and sub-system of larger systems;
· produce forms, manuals,
programs, data files, and procedures for systems and/or applications; and
· perform any other Work related
to this category.
Technical Criteria:
· Demonstrated experience or
education with one of the following languages: ADA, Java, C#, C++
Education:
· Must
have: University degree or College Diploma in Computer Science,
Engineering, Software Development or similar discipline
Lived
Experience:
· Indigenous lived experience is
an integral part of this position. The role will have a close relationship
with the Indigenous Community in Canada and for Government of Canada positions
that are part of the PSIB-Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business or
IPP-Indigenous Participation Plans. Candidates will be required to have
Indigenous lived experience from Canada’s Indigenous community to perform the
role.

· *Year’s Experience: We are seeking candidates who at minimum have graduated
from either college or university in a technology related program
· **Security Clearance: We
