We're looking for an enthusiastic Public Relations Lead to join our team! In this role, you’ll be the voice that shares the joy of Rovio, our main IPs, and our entire game portfolio with the world. 

You will lead, cultivate and maintain strong media relationships, and manage PR agency partnerships. This role also shapes and defines external messaging to maximise visibility across key consumer and trade media, while supporting our strategic commercial partnerships.

You will have impact and fun at work by:

  • Creating and guiding the entire external communications and public relations strategy for the company, Rovio’s IPs, and our diverse portfolio of games.
  • Designing strategic PR plans for our biggest marketing beats, including game launches, brand campaigns, and even exciting PR stunts.
  • Serving as our reliable primary contact for all media inquiries, including interview and comment requests.
  • Nurturing strong, lasting relationships with media contacts, focusing on our key markets such as North America..
  • Collaborating closely with our internal teams and leadership, providing supportive counsel on external communications, including identifying great speaking and interview opportunities for our spokespeople.
  • Working together with our colleagues at SEGA to align on communication strategies and managing our PR agency partnerships to ensure we're all working towards the same goals.

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in global public relations, with a proven track record of developing successful campaigns.
  • Experience in the gaming, entertainment or tech industry working in globalPR functions. 
  • Deep understanding of the international media landscape.
  • Solid interpersonal and collaboration skills, with an ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and kindly, both in writing and verbally.
  • A strategic and creative mindset, with the ability to plan initiatives and measure their effectiveness using data.
  • Great project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple exciting projects at once, working closely with both internal teams and external PR agencies.
  • Experience in building and nurturing strong media relationships to secure positive coverage.

It would be nice if you also have the following skills:

  • Previous experience in crisis communications.
  • A good understanding of social media and digital marketing principles.
