The Ericsson Radio Product Team is responsible for all aspects of development of the next generation radio products: systemization, design, integration, and verification of multi-standard radios. This position is for our Radio Product Systems and Integration Organization which works on radio systemization as well as integrating hardware and software designs to validate the performance and functionality of new radio products.
The successful candidate will enable the delivery of our radio portfolio by taking responsibility for the combined Configuration Management role and what is internally referred to as radio design integration object leading role. These involve coordination of systems and integration activities, tracking that the development work proceeds on time and with quality, and therefore working directly with the radio design community, projects, factory and many other roles outside of radio design. While the role does not include hardware or software design directly, the understanding of the underlying radio design and design process is a must.

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
The salary range for this position is
• Ottawa, ON: $85,000- $111,300
Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

What will you do
- Providing Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation for all development activities such as: Requirement analysis, system design, architecture design, hardware design, software design, integration, verification, simulations, tools design.
- Managing project deliverables and help ensure timely deliveries of documents and technical information
- Ensuring product requirements are tested and updates to requirements are made in a timely manner
- Hosting regular meetings to track issues, ensure resources are available and update status
- Assisting the project managers tracking timelines and deliverable items
- Performing Systems process auditing to ensure ways of working are followed
- Working closely with the project and the Integration Technical Lead to represent the design integration process, thus supporting the Integration Team, the project and the Design Responsible
- Driving, managing and maintaining the Check List for Plug-in Unit Design & Integration
- Applying the PUDI checklist to the design reviews throughout the product development milestones (e.g. especially those related to SP5, EVS, I2V)
- Using the process checklist as a tool, to check if all actions have been executed, and enforcing those actions
- Supporting the Integration Technical Lead with additional miscellaneous activities such as factory Work Orders and more
The skills you bring
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering domain
- 3+ years of working experience, good knowledge of the process used for product development, project handling knowledge, knowledge of the product information and product structure, the design rules and principles relevant to integration, understanding of integration and verification principles
- Integration process proficiency and project awareness to work closely with the project and the Integration Technical Lead on Integration progress and quality of integration milestones
- Ideally have some experience working directly with radio products (systemization, hardware design, integration, or test)
- Some experience in Configuration Management
- Product Life Cycle Management Knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills, including some team leadership experience as well as negotiation skills
- Good communication skills in order to guide developers to ensure that processes, policies and guidelines are being followed
- Excellent communication and presentations skills in English
- Ability to multi-task, meet time frames and manage different tasks at the same time
- Structured and organized way of working
- Strong focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
- Excellent ability to handle a changing environment and high workload
- Energy and drive to thrive in a dynamic product development environment
Other useful skills:
- Basic knowledge of wireless communication standards
- Understanding of RF engineering
