The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP FICO Functional Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial and controlling functions within the SAP system, ensuring efficient and effective financial operations. This role involves collaborating with various departments, analyzing financial data, and implementing solutions to optimize financial processes.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and document financial and controlling business processes, requirements, configuration, test scripts and change management processes.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement and maintain SAP FICO modules.
- Provide functional support for financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost center accounting and critical systems integrations (including VIM, Vertex, PowerPlan, Workday and others).
- Conduct and lead system testing, support user training for financial applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to financial systems and processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in financial projects and initiatives to enhance system functionality and efficiency.
- Own, lead and build relationships with business stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders throughout project, enhancement and support cycles.
- Identify, prioritize, design, deliver and sustain technology solutions within our SAP and Enterprise application landscape.
- Provide quality assurance, documentation that is aligned with SAP best practices and standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience and proficiency as a functional analyst with the SAP FICO module.
- Strong understanding of accounting operations and controlling business processes.
- Understanding of Accounting principals
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong proficiency and awareness of sophisticated integration of accounting processes with other SAP modules and processes that involve integrated systems across our broader SAP landscape.
- Minimum of 10 years of SAP FICO Functional experience.
- Demonstrated experience and proven track record of leadership, stakeholder engagement and solution delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other ERP systems.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles and compliance requirements.
- Support and troubleshooting experience with systems like VIM, Vertex, Workday Expense and banking systems.
