The Manufacturing Engineering organization at Micron’s Idaho F4 High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) site is responsible for enabling world-class manufacturing performance as ID1, the newest memory fab in the United States, ramps to scale. The team partners closely with global manufacturing sites, technology development, and central engineering organizations to deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective operations.
The Sr. Manager of Photolithography Manufacturing Engineering leads the strategy, execution, and performance of the photolithography department at the Idaho F4 HVM site. This role is accountable for building and developing high-performing technical teams, optimizing manufacturing output and yield, and aligning departmental priorities with Micron’s business plan and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop equipment, process, and operations technicians and engineers to achieve manufacturing KPIs for output, yield, cost, and quality
- Define and execute the strategic vision for the photolithography department, including setting bold performance targets and aligning resources to business priorities
- Drive fab optimization initiatives to maximize output and yield while reducing operational costs and maintaining safety and quality standards
- Partner with Technology Development, Process & Equipment Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities, and global manufacturing sites to validate capacity and enable manufacturing readiness
- Ensure compliance with Micron safety and people policies, support succession planning, and communicate complex topics to large audiences and senior leaders
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science-related or engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience and intermediate photolithography process knowledge
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing small and large technical teams
- Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects and solve complex manufacturing problems
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing team structures, standards, and processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing long-term strategic visions and setting short- and long-range goals for large organizations
- Strong data analysis, troubleshooting, and risk mitigation skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across global teams and external suppliers
- Effective communication and presentation skills with technical and executive audiences
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to support career growth
