🤙🏼 About gaiia

At gaiia, we're building the leading platform for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) that truly care about their customers. Our core product is an operating system (OS) for telcos that manages billing, operations, automation and everything in between.

We're passionate about taking care of our people, and it's not just lip service. We want you to focus on your job while we care for everything else. We offer competitive pay and benefits, flexible vacations, attractive stock options, unparalleled transparency, and a 100% remote environment. We're excited to have you join us for your next career adventure!

🎭 Role & Team

As a Senior Product Manager on the Billing squad at gaiia, you will own the product vision for one of the most critical modules of our platform: Billing & Revenue Management. Billing is the backbone of every telecom operation. It touches every customer, every transaction, and every dollar. Getting it right means building a system that is powerful enough to handle complex rating, charging, and invoicing scenarios, yet intuitive enough for our customers' teams to operate with confidence.

You will work closely with your squad (a Team Lead, Full-Stack Developers, a Product Designer, and a QA Specialist) to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and deliver value continuously. You will also collaborate with fellow Product Managers and Product Designers from other squads, and work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, and Implementation teams who rely on billing as a core part of the customer experience.

In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of telecom billing models, payment processing, tax compliance, and the revenue operations challenges our customers face. You will champion solutions that reduce complexity, automate manual workflows, and give our customers the financial clarity they need to run their businesses.

The Billing Squad

The Billing squad is responsible for building and evolving gaiia's billing engine, rating and charging infrastructure for all supported services, and the agent-facing billing interfaces.

A successful candidate will be comfortable navigating the intersection of complex business rules and elegant user experiences. Someone who can think in billing cycles and edge cases while never losing sight of the end user.

🪄 What you're going to do
  • Collaboratively define the product strategy for the Billing module with your squad, stakeholders, and leadership team.
  • Identify, research, and prioritize work for your team based on customer feedback, operational data, and business goals.
  • Use data analysis, customer interviews, and competitive research to become an expert in telecom billing and revenue management.
  • Ensure your team consistently tackles the most impactful items by owning and maintaining the backlog.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for billing, aligning it with the company's growth goals and customer needs.
  • Lead the formulation and execution of the product strategy, ensuring the billing module meets customer needs while achieving operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Implementation teams to understand billing pain points and translate them into product improvements.
  • Understand the technical implications of billing architecture decisions and communicate trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
  • Dive deep into billing edge cases, payment workflows, and tax compliance requirements to design robust solutions.
  • Design solutions that reduce manual effort, minimize billing errors, and accelerate time-to-value for customers.
🌈 What we are looking for
  • Experience with medium to large web application SaaS (B2B or B2C).
  • A contagious passion for digital products and product management.
  • Proficient in human-centered design principles, committed to developing solutions that meet technical demands while effectively addressing user needs.
  • Curiosity about the latest news related to your product and the industry.
  • Proficiency in English communication (French is a bonus); ability to articulate vision and ideas clearly.
  • A collaborative spirit and effective teamwork skills with various stakeholders.
  • Interest in billing systems, payment processing, and financial operations.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technological challenges and decisions.
  • Innate leadership qualities to guide your team to success.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business rules, edge cases, and process improvements.
  • Comfort working with complex domain logic. You enjoy untangling how things work under the hood.
  • Ability to foster relationships with customers and understand their operational challenges.
🎖️ Qualifications

Product Management fundamentals

  • At least 5+ years in a Product Management role.
  • Experience with B2B software, especially in billing, payments, accounting, FinTech, or revenue management.
  • Grasp of how your product impacts the company's business strategy and revenue.
  • Competency in using both qualitative and quantitative data to shape your strategic vision.
  • Strong communication skills, ensuring alignment across teams like design, product, engineering, sales, and customer success.
  • Familiarity with flexible agile team processes.
  • Ability to reason about complex business logic (e.g rating, charging, invoicing, proration, credits, and adjustments)

AI & Productivity

  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) as a core part of your workflow for research, analysis, scoping, prototyping and problem-solving.
  • Ability to build and iterate on personal AI-powered workflows that compound your productivity over time.
  • Comfortable using AI coding assistants to extract insights from data, prototype solutions, or accelerate technical and product discovery.
