Job Summary:
Senior Staff Reliability Engineer with direct experience, and track record, of bringing NPI and advanced products through the NPI development process from definition to production release, including all quality, functional safety and qualification related analysis and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute Reliability Qualification of new products, processes and customer requests. Analyze Reliability data and create formal report.
- Work with Design, Product, Test and Failure Analysis engineering teams in understanding the Reliability qualification failures. Be able to provide recommendations based on the results of cross-functional team assessment.
- Predict product reliability levels and perform lifetime calculations based on various Reliability stress test results, on-going reliability monitoring data, and failure mechanisms identified as a result of stress tests.
- Work with Design and Test Engineering and external vendors to design and manufacture HTOL and HAST boards for use in Reliability qualifications.
- Work with QA, Manufacturing Engineers and Operations Team to assist in the disposition of manufacturing lots held due to issues that may affect product reliability.
- Regularly review industry standards (i.e. JEDEC, AEC, ESDA, IPC, etc.) for new revisions that may impact the Reliability qualification stress conditions.
- Respond to end customer requests for qualification data, FIT rates, and other product Reliability engineering-related data and inquiries.
- Represent team in various stages of New Product Introduction (NPI) – related meetings where Reliability engineering participation is required. Ensure successful delivery of Reliability commitments.
- Prepare technical reports, summarize findings and recommend solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Master’s degree and PhD in related field would be an advantage.
- At least 5-year experience in semiconductor product Reliability Engineering. Specific experiences include drafting of Reliability qualification plans / reports and performing field lifetime calculations.
- Additional experience in the following engineering disciplines would be an advantage: Failure Analysis, Test/Product Engineering, Quality, Design/Validation/Characterization, Applications, and Wafer Fab.
