Compose.ly is a leading SEO and content marketing agency helping brands grow through high-impact, full-funnel content. Our work blends performance-driven SEO with messaging that reflects the voice, values, and vision of our clients. From blog strategy and briefs to on-page optimizations and AI-aware content planning, we help businesses show up where it matters — and say something that sticks.
We’re looking for an SEO Content Strategist who doesn’t just know SEO — they know how it connects to the bigger picture of marketing, brand, and business growth. You’ll take the lead on content strategy across a portfolio of B2B and B2C clients, translating SEO insights into content roadmaps that drive organic visibility and long-term brand value.
This is a role for someone who can own briefs, drive topic ideation, and collaborate with technical and creative teams — while also confidently stepping into technical SEO work when needed.
What You’ll Do- Lead end-to-end SEO content strategy for a portfolio of clients, aligning keyword opportunities with business goals, brand positioning, and funnel stages
- Build editorial roadmaps and strategic content calendars that reflect not just SEO best practices, but audience insights, tone of voice, and broader marketing initiatives
- Write and refine high-quality content briefs that connect intent to messaging and optimize for search, UX, and conversion
- Serve as the client-facing strategic lead, providing guidance on how content, SEO, and brand marketing work together to drive results
- Collaborate cross-functionally with SEO analysts, content writers, editors, paid media specialists, and account managers to ensure alignment across campaigns
- Support technical SEO retainers as needed (e.g. on-page SEO, site audits, structured data recommendations, internal linking strategies)
- Analyze performance data and translate it into clear, actionable content insights
- Stay ahead of evolving SEO trends, AI-generated content implications, and channel-specific content strategies (blog, LinkedIn, email, etc.)
- 1–3 years of experience in SEO content strategy, preferably in an agency or fast-paced consulting environment
- Proven expertise in content ideation, brief creation, and editorial planning
- A strong grasp of technical SEO fundamentals and comfort jumping into technical retainer support as needed
- Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Clearscope/Surfer, and Screaming Frog
- Clear, confident client communication skills — you can explain complex SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead strategic conversations
- Comfortable working across diverse content formats (blogs, landing pages, LinkedIn posts, emails, video scripts)
- Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects with minimal oversight
- Bonus: Experience with AI-assisted workflows, brand voice development, or integrated marketing campaigns
- Bonus: Deep understanding of e-commerce, B2C, and D2C industries.
- Join a remote-first, tight-knit team where your ideas shape real outcomes
- Build strategies across industries and work with brands at the intersection of performance and creativity
- Own work that’s measured in results, not just deliverables
- Enjoy flexibility, autonomy, and support for continued growth in content, SEO, and digital marketing strategy
