DailyPay is seeking a Software Quality Engineer II to drive our testing efforts in launching bug-free product updates and features. This will be a unique and challenging role where the right candidate will have a big influence on how we test the DailyPay Applications supporting our mobile and web apps. This is a hands-on, testing role where you will use your testing background to implement best practices, strategy, and tactics to further improve the quality of our products. You will write automated tests to help ensure we deliver the highest quality software consistently. It is a unique opportunity for a quality expert to improve the code quality and customer experience for all applications within a quickly scaling company and product primarily focusing on empowering our users and supporting their financial security.

How You Will Make an Impact:Create and execute test plans and test cases to improve customer experience and code quality for all our applications
Perform web, API, UI, functional, regression, smoke, black box, security, accessibility and end-to-end testing as required
Identify and manage the critical path of testing, helping to ensure automated coverage of regression tasks
Improve workflows and create scripts and tools for automation as necessary
Work with functional teams to reduce error rates, document findings and perform root cause analysis
Gather, maintain and create reports on quality metrics
Analyse bugs across the stack and ensure that suitable tests are set up to avoid regression
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
2+ years hands on testing experience
Demonstrated proficiency writing maintainable, high quality, robust tests in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Go, Python, Javascript, or similar
Experience with full end-to-end (front and back-end) testing of web and native mobile applications
Experience in debugging to generate detailed bug reports for submission, tracking & validation of fixes
Demonstrated experience using source control tools such as GitHub
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with acceptance testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium
Experience with CI/CD build tools such as GitHub Actions
Experience with non-functional testing (such as performance, compatibility etc)
