What you’ll be Doing
The Senior Project Manager within Enterprise Digital & AI Enablement Delivery is a seasoned expert responsible for overseeing the day to day project activities of complex projects of a tactical nature, ensuring project control procedures and policies are adhered as per CIBC’s project performance standards. The role works with minimal direction, applying deep knowledge in their field of expertise to manage the delivery of project management best practices and processes including reporting, project planning, and support activities. The Senior Project Manager, Enterprise Digital Delivery uses significant latitude in determining objectives and leads employees in the development of analytical approaches, while establishing and maintaining client, senior management and project manager relationships. In addition, the role provides status updates and progress reports to project stakeholders to manage expectations related to scope and timeline constraints.

How You’ll Succeed
- Initiate, plan, execute, control and close project(s) of a tactical nature, with an emphasis on managing AI projects. Incorporating project management standards, processes, and procedures in support of continuous improvement activities.
- Act as business liaison partner with business sponsor and stakeholders to develop the business case and provide input on tactical direction. Participate in vendor evaluation and selection process by providing recommendations based on subject matter expertise.
- Must ensure projects for which they are responsible meet the requirements of CIBC’s standards, policies, and procedures.
- Must ensure that all necessary risk assessments and risk assessment processes are carried out at the appropriate time (Architecture, Governance, Security Threat Risk Assessment, Operational Gating). Act as conduit between internal business partners and external partners/vendors who provide critical solutions and services to ensure project milestones and objectives are met.
Who You Are
- Ideally 5-7 years of experience in a similar role. You are experienced in Business Case Justification with clear knowledge of the approaches, tools and techniques for justifying a project by identifying cost, benefits, opportunities and threats. It is preferred that you have a PMP designation or equivalent work experience
- You are familiar with the process for evaluation and selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components in line with organization’s business needs and architectural principles.
