The role:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team, focusing on strategic insights and analytics to drive decision-making across our Home Lending Sales business unit. This role will involve leveraging data to optimize business performance, drive sales growth and efficiency, enhance customer engagement, and support the overall goals of our organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management & Analysis: Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of sales and operational data to inform strategic decisions. Utilize advanced analytics techniques to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of sales initiatives. Provide regular reports and dashboards to senior management on performance metrics and insights.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Marketing, Incentive, Finance, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to ensure alignment of business objectives and the implementation of data-driven strategies. Facilitate communication between departments to enhance workflow and efficiency.
  • Strategic Insights Development: Contribute to the development of business strategies by providing actionable insights from data analyses. Drive critical business pivots to align with banking objectives focused on customer deepening and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Revenue Maximization: Drive top-line growth through optimization of pricing strategies, marketing approaches, and sales practices.
  • Drive Efficiency: Forecast capacity and hiring to ensure profitability during high growth phase and optimize expenses during seasonality and business cycles.
  • Risk Management Support: Collaborate with risk management teams to develop analytics frameworks that address and mitigate operational risks. Focus on root-cause analysis to streamline processes and reduce risk issue closure times.
  • Customer Experience Improvement: Analyze customer feedback and loan officer performance metrics to drive improvements in customer satisfaction (NPS) while optimizing cost efficiencies in loan origination processes.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience leveraging data-driven analysis to influence key decisions and drive business processes, preferably in a financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related field, preferably in a financial services environment. 
  • Direct Home Lending (Mortgage and Home Equity) Sales strategy & analytics experience strongly preferred. 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau), database querying tools (SQL, Snowflake, SAS, Python), and statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management and cross-functional team leadership.

Nice to have:

  • Experience building new processes from the “ground up.”
  • Management and/or training experience of Junior Business Analysts.

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
