Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $32.84 ou/or $51.75 (Sept. 2025 - Aug. 2026)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

  • Strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience with multi-person software design (e.g. practical experience with industry tools and at least one high-level programming language like: Java, Javascript, Python, etc.)
  • Comfort with embedded controller devices (e.g. Raspberry Pi Picos). 
  • Comfort with Linux command line and experience debugging software installation issues.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience as a teaching assistant, mentoring students in a software design course, assisting them as they learn how to use new design tools to both design and debug their code.
