National health data platform ARCHIMEDES announced a strategic partnership with Woodway Assurance. The Ottawa-based platform will integrate Woodway’s EviData software into its solution to provide users with secure and centralized access to health data and analytics.

“This partnership represents an important step in advancing responsible data innovation in Canada. By embedding automated, standards-aligned privacy risk assessments directly into the ARCHIMEDES platform, we are operationalizing best practices in data governance while preserving the analytical value of health data,” Kelly Cobey, ARCHIMEDES co-lead, said in a statement. “Our goal is to accelerate research without compromising privacy and this collaboration helps us do exactly that.”

Through the partnership, EviData will provide automated, independent privacy risk assessments for ARCHIMEDES datasets, producing third-party reports that support data access approvals. The collaboration ensures ARCHIMEDES users will benefit from independent privacy assurance, improved governance and auditability and enhanced data usability.
