Deep Tech Company Blumind Secures $20M CAD Series A Round

The company will invest the new capital in expanding its engineering and development teams.

Blumind, a deep tech AI company based in Ottawa, announced a $20 million CAD funding round co-led by investors Cycle Capital and BDC Capital. The company will invest its Series A capital in bringing its edge computing technology to market.

Blumind specializes in building analog AI semiconductors, software and data-driven system solutions. Its technology consumes substantially less power compared to similar alternatives and enables highly efficient and performant AI applications.

The company’s latest funding injection will accelerate the development and commercialization of its AMPL analog AI product. Blumind will further the design and production of its solution for vision and large language model inferencing. It will also invest in establishing strategic partnerships and growing its engineering and development teams.
