AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 (2024-2025)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

Responsibilities:

  • Assistantship is part of the support team in charge of the INSPIRE Core Facility: laboratories and lab equipment, student and community pools of the integrated system for participation in research (ISPR), and Qualtrics online survey platform.

  • The assistant will provide onsite help and support for experimental setup, monitor the proper use of laboratory facilities and equipment, ensure technical support for equipment failures and fulfil other responsibilities relating to the management of the research infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate with Honours in Psychology or its equivalent (applicants currently finishing this degree may also apply; they must indicate when they are expected to have completed their degree requirements).

  • Priority will be given to candidates in a Masters or Doctorate program in psychology or related field, to bilingual candidates, and to candidates with experience within INSPIRE insdtallations (or analogous ones).

  • Candidates should highlight applicable experiences in their CV. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate knowledge/experience in the following:

2. Conception, preparation and presentation of visual and auditory stimuli

4. Software relative to Biolab (MindWare), E-Prime (Psychology software tools), and Experiment Builder (SR research), Matlab and the Psychophysics toolbox

5. SONA systems platform

6. Qualtrics platform

7. REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) platform
