Nokia Canada has officially broken ground on a new campus in Ottawa, a project the company announced on Tuesday will accelerate innovation in AI-driven networks, data center technologies, quantum-safe infrastructure and 6G systems. The facility is also expected to play a key role in strengthening the region’s broader technology ecosystem.

To be located in the centre of Kanata North Technology Park, the campus will span nearly 750,000 square feet, further solidifying the area as a hub for digital infrastructure and bolstering the country’s standing as a global leader in advanced connectivity.

Nokia added that it plans to work with government partners on initiatives related to the site, including improving public transit access. Nokia Canada President Jeffrey Maddox said in a statement that the project has already benefited from public support, including contributions from the federal Strategic Innovation Fund.
